Hi, is it stupid for me to buy a drone in Canada for a hobby because of the LAWS?
Welcome to the forum. You don't mention what AC you have. I fly a Mavic Mini in Canada and being 250 grams basically under the Canadian regulations currently has only one rule - Paraphrased: Don't be stupid when flying. Above 250 grams, as a hobby flier you then need to jump thru a few hoops in licence and registration.Hi, is it stupid for me to buy a drone in Canada for a hobby because of the LAWS?
No, you’re not crazy! I fly in Ontario - you have to be smart when choosing where to fly, but there’s a great variety. If you want to get a sense, download the “UAV forecast” app. It will give you an idea on what airports are around your potential flight areas and what might be restrictive.Hi, is it stupid for me to buy a drone in Canada for a hobby because of the LAWS?
Hi Godder,Thanks for the welcome. The Mavic Air 2 fits my needs very well, but was afraid I'd have to go Autel, or Anaffi . It just might be a bad idea all together because I'm not too sure where to fly, since it seems like everything is off limits. I'm a hobbyist who just wants to record camping, hiking, clouds, mountains, and family stuff.
