And just when you thought you had the Spanglish figured out, a name word turn out to be Native American.

I arrived at DM in late '98. I was assigned to the 612 Air Communications Squadron. I retired in late '00 after a 30+year career, I was a 3C… Our unit also had several Wage Board Workers (blue collar version or Government Service [GS]) and one was Native American who deeply resented my rank "Chief" Master Sergeant and as you know, we are usually addressed as "Chief." He had his own version of calling me "something" in Mescalero Apache… that vaguely sounded like "Cochise" but not in a complimentarily way…

I think the weather is great in NV/AZ border where we are contemplating a move to, Las Vegas, Henderson actually if we manage to sell our home here, not even on the market yet. I think Henderson is pretty close to AZ border.

Anyone in Henderson, NV flying drones which is apparently in Controlled Airspace? I know I could fly my RC planes at the William Bennett field (under 400'). I want to take my drone to Henderson and fly overhead (below 400') and record a few videos of surrounding areas of properties we will be viewing.

Any issues with that or do I need to obtain a parks permit for $50 before I fly?

It looks like you may be able to fly if you apply for LAANC permission before your flight.

It starts at 400 feet and the ceiling will get lower near the airport.

Use the app to look around and request a flight in the app.

I never had to do this but it looks simple.

Thanks for your response, I'll check it out. I may not bother with drone videos after all, since the list of properties we want to view in Henderson has grown since I made a request for information above; there may not be enough time for drone videos.

Update: When I actually put address of one home I really want to see, I found its in Clear Airspace; additionally, where my son lives in Mountain Edge LV, it also shows as Clear Airspace. All the more reason to take my Mavic 4 Pro in its backpack with me to LV. I feel a lot happier now.
