Thanks for the welcomes and the encouragement. I'm in Ventura, CA and what little experience I have so far has been with the help of some drone pilots while camping at Flying Flags (an RV park) in Buellton. One of them has a Phantom 4. He encouraged me to get the Mavic Air and after flying mine he bought one. The advantage of having a such a capable drone you can take with you anywhere almost was his reason.
