Welcome to the forum! :)

Here are some things to help you get started with your Mavic Air 2:
  • The current Mavic Air 2 manual can be downloaded here (it doesn't come in the box). Other important documents can be found on the Mavic Air 2 downloads page.

  • Check out this getting started guide for some tips not found in the Mavic Air 2 manual.

  • Your drone batteries will last longer if you use and maintain them like this.

  • Practice flying outdoors in a wide open location that's free of all obstacles. Don't attempt to fly inside your house or in other confined locations.

  • The drone records flight data each time you fly. You can decrypt and view those flight logs with these tools.

  • Check out MavicHelp.com for commonly used accessories you might need.

Welcome to the forum from Chicago the Windy City.
Lots to learn, one very important lesson is how not to crash your drone and how to prevent flyaways. Check out Mavic Tips, on how to prevent that from happening. Knowledge is power. For instance understanding the RTH feature
and how it works. The RTH is one of the most complex features of a DJI drone.
Works great, and rarely fails. But it can do unexpected things if your not sure how it works. Never forget the experience of the fellow on his boat, he marked home point on his boat while it was anchored. Pulled up anchor, followed his drone down stream, Had his drone set to LOW BATTERY RTH. and watched his drone return home to where he was up river. And, did not cancel RTH, and watched his drone fly over his head to where he was anchored. Landed in the water, with less then 5% battery power. Good to research, what should he have done?
Anyway keep the rotors pointing up.
