Just got my first done, went with the DJI mavic air 2 and I'm pretty stoked so far.

Any good advice for long term use? How long do these little machines last?

longevity,thats down to you the pilot
many years if looked after and flown properly
read the manual learn how to take care of your drone and its batteries
and most of all enjoy your new found hobby
