Hi,

I'm looking at getting a Mavic Mini, so thought I'd stop by here to get as much info/advise as possible before I take the plunge.

Welcome
Try to plunge for the Air 2 , your overall drone experience will be a much better one.

I was very close to a mini, no denying they are a cool little drone. Pocket friendly, great footage potential. Then i thought i would still want an air 2, so me being me trying to save money in the long run, went for the air 2(yup, i still want a mini). That aside, the ability to track, also sensors to avoid collisions, added to the want! I dont have a mini so can not compare, but i have no regrets with the MA2. Good luck with your choice, dji do produce an amazing product regardless of cost. Dont expect perfect, they seem to have glitches or require more updates. Check out the mini section and read up, also the MA2 .

Hi, and welcome:)

The Mavic Mini is a very capable drone, and there are a lot of excellent photo's and videos here and on youtube showcasing what can be done with it. It's a great drone to use, but you do need to be careful to read up about the best way to not crash it, or have a fly away. It has GPS and positioning sensors, but it doesn't have collision avoidance sensors. I think many of the accidents (of all drones) is user error.

For me, the main thing to avoid is trees............

Welcome to you from the wide-open spaces of Texas!

I fly an M2P. Flew my buddy's Mini all of 5 minutes, and was impressed as hell. Still am. Great, great machine.

Lots of fellow UKers and others of us from around the world are here to help you gain skill as a pilot and photographer.

Glad to have you with us!

Welcome to the forum from Sandy Springs, GA. I also fly a MM and have many fun flights. You will find all sorts of support and assistance here. We look forward to seeing your view of the world.

Hi, Welcome to the forum.
I started with Phantoms and AEE on the hobby side as well as some toy drones.
When I wanted to get serious I got a M2P....I LOVE IT!!!!! I can't say enough good things about it.
Then came the mini. These are like a framing hammer and a sledge hammer. They both have very similar purposes, however one is a lot stronger and seems to be easier to use. There are a great many comparisons. I do not have a MA2. It seems to be the perfect cross of the two. From what I hear from others, based on my experience: if you don't have any of the DJI products; I might go with the mid-priced MA2. If you don't care that much about price; try both M2P and the MM. They are both tons of fun and you will love every minute with them. No matter what you get, learn how to fly and practice...baby steps or you will be bummed out when you over-fly a field or tight corner and crash or hit a tree on return because you didn't set up your flight before taking off.
Good luck and let us know what you decided on.
