This is a short video from my honeymoon last fall in northern Italy. The cities were great, but the Dolomites were something else.
I am shocked that there has been nobody commenting on this absolutely wonderful video! Usually, when I see a 7 min video I avoid it, but I gave it a whirl and was immediately caught up in this whirlwind honeymoon tour of Italy. You captured it perfectly! The photography was gratifying with vivid colors and framing. Your many experiences were greatly enjoyed and I watched this with a smile at all times. Like you, I try to capture the essence of the country, showing the cheese makers, the cooking classes, and all sorts of experiences. Yes, I put my wife through the same ordeals on our Italian trips- but horseback riding and kite surfing,....yikes!!

Doug- you and I usually agree!I just want to affirm Dale’s review. Well done!! I will confess that when I first scanned the title I feared that this was about a 7 minute Honeymoon! A quick second look put me at ease. I would like to know what you used to capture the ceilings and vertical cityscapes. What equipment did you carry that you used to cobble together this “ best in class travelogue”. My best wishes for a happy life.

Thanks Dale. This is an incredibly nice comment. Luckily the location did all the heavy lifting when it came to making the shots look nice. It seems everywhere you point a camera in Italy is a great shot. Also thanks for the well wishes for the marriage. It's a great moment to show to your kids who won't believe your youthful tour when you are 86 and 80 like me and my wife through all of our world wide tours of over 100 countries.
Congrats on your marriage and I wish you a long and happy life of travels like this one.

Thanks Platty. Your hunch is correct, it was hard coming back from this one. But its good motivation to plan the next trip soon. That was a wonderful travel video. I feel like I’ve been on a honeymoon. You guys obviously had a fantastic time. I would definitely struggle to come back to reality after that trip. A long life of happiness, love and health to you both. ( beautifully edited with top music by the way )
Thanks Doug. Luckily we had a week for the honeymoon and hopefully a very long marriage to follow. Most of the ground shot were captured on the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. This little camera is perfect for traveling. I can stash it in my pocket and it has a built in gimbal for stable shots. The paragliding and a few of the boat shots was captured with an Insta 360 X4. I usually only break that out for action shots.I just want to affirm Dale’s review. Well done!! I will confess that when I first scanned the title I feared that this was about a 7 minute Honeymoon! Agreed. Venice and Florence are fantastic. Bologna was fun as well, but the other two take the cake.Nice little video to remember your honeymoon. I took my wife to Venice for our honeymoon, as well as Austria, where I lived for many years and to the last day of Oktoberfest in Munich. Venice and Florence are my two most favourite cities to visit in Italy.
