How can a beginner systematically get started with FPV? I'm already over 30 years old.

The RM16 isn´t compatible with DJI drones, you´re on a wrong forum. If you wanna use DJI drones, buy FPV controller, the 3rd version is compatible with PC and simulators. The radiomaster is for "regular" ELRS FPV drones.
