Newbie here, first post. First flight this morning in beginner mode. All went well but all of a sudden my smartphone disconnected from the controller. Using a Nexus 6 with Android 7 plugged into the usb port on the bottom of the controller. Other posts indicate disconnecting can be a problem when using Go 4 and an android phone... happened to me in my first flight, will probably happen again, don't want this to happen when the Mavic is far away. I understand Go 3 is stable so I uninstalled Go 4, installed Go 3. When I started Go 3 it found the Mavic, said I had to use Go 4 and began downloading it. Any workaround for this besides getting a new phone? Thanks!

I suspect your on .0500 Mavic firmware. First downgrade the Mavic firmware to .0400 and then try the app again. Not 100% sure this will work but security certainly increased under .0500

I have the Nexus 6P, and the GO app crashed or disconnected equally as much on FW 400 as it does on 500.

Android issue. Not sure what you can do, Some of them work fine but a lot of them have disconnects.

Thanks for the responses but I think I need to go back to Go 3. Any ideas as to how to stop migration to 4 or how to downgrade from 4 to 3? Would having both on the phone and choosing 3 each time work?
