This is a Premiere Pro tutorial showing how to edit video from the DJI Mavic 2 Pro shot in the DLOG-M color profile. In order to film in this profile you have to switch to H.265, but a lot of folks will be surprised that they can't even play the video on their PC, much less edit.

I show you how to use proxies or proxy files in order to edit DLOG-M H.265 video in Premiere Pro. HEVC H.265 is CPU/GPU intensive. I hope this helps.

If anyone can figure out how to edit it in Photoshop, I'd be ecstatic.

What would you guys say are the minimum laptop specs to edit this high quality video? Is a good GFX card important?

Yep, you will need a good graphics card, a minimum of 8GB and at least an i7 processor (or something equivalent to that). 4-cores or more would also help. In my case, I have the required specs except for the graphics card: GeForce 745M which is just below the minimum (750M). So in my estimation, a good graphics card goes a long way to getting you smooth performance. Here's what Adobe recommends for handling H.265 (these are minimums):
  • Mac OS 10.13 on Mac hardware from 2016 or later
  • Windows 10 with 7th Generation (or later) Intel® Core™ processors and Intel Graphics enabled
