I recently bought the Holy Stone RID module, since it was such a great price.

Today I visited the FAA website and logged in to my Dashboard to edit my Mavic Pro Platinum. I intended to add the Holy Stone RID number to my Mavic, but when I click the edit button, everything is still greyed out.

I have no options to add my new RID number. Do I need to delete the MPP from my account and then start over again, adding the Holy Stone RID number?

Any other suggestions or ideas?

Thanks,

Jerry

Add it to the inventory and then delete the old.

Had to do that when my MA2 became RID compliant.

Assuming you are asking about the recreational (not the part 107 commercial) registration portal dashboard on the faa website....

That is a great idea. So it should not be a problem adding another Mavic with a duplicate serial number, and then deleting the "original" Mavic?

Thanks for the suggestion and I will let you know how it goes.

Thanks,

Jerry

Yes, recreational only. I just picked up the Holy Stone and may want to start using the MPP again.......

No problem. 🙂

I was able to add the Holy Stone equipped Mavic to my inventory with no problem.

No extra charge to add because this is a recreational only device.

My problem now is I can not find a way to delete the old Mavic from my inventory.

My only options are Cancel, Edit, and Details, when using the "Actions" menu.

Maybe I'm missing a step somewhere???

Thanks,

Jerry

Is he going to have to pay another fee to register that same drone.....does anybody know?
Recreational flyers pay $5 one time for "unlimited" add/change/deletes. Commercial flyers will need to pay $5 each time they create a unique registration number.

I believe you can go ahead and "cancel" as there is no such function called "delete" which is effective. Once you add your details to the FAA database, it is there forever and cannot be erased. However, you can add and remove it from your inventory but the FAA still has the information with your registration on it.

Yep,

You were exactly right. I read "cancel" as canceling the option menu, not canceling the registration.

It is still listed in my inventory, but now shows "cancelled", and the updated Mavic is now in its place, showing RID from a module.

Thanks for your help,

Jerry
