The MacBook shouldn't itself have a WiFi password, rather you put in the password for the SSID you're trying to connect to.

Contact your internet provider as they can help.
The password you used on you MacBook came from your provider.

From the DeskTop > Go (in the top toolbar) > Utilities > Keychain > On there Left side, System.
Find your WiFi > Double Click > Enter your computer's User Name and Password.
This will show your WiFi Password.
All Passwords are stored in Keychain.
