True Thunderdrones, kind of a stupid question or statement. I am looking for the same sense of security when I fly. I have a really hard time keeping my eye on the drone. I will look down at the ipad mini for just a second and look up and have to "search" the sky for it and I'm not that darn far out. It just blends in with the clouds and backgrounds.
Your statement was a valid one. With all the generic accessories going around, it's sometimes best to order from the source, as you did. Same with DJI products. The chances of getting a generic product from them is 0%.
Just one thing that I have found while flying. Once I commit myself to using the display on the device for that flight, my eyes stay glued to the device and I dont try to look for it in the sky. As you noticed, even though you can hear it, finding a little speck of gray in the sky takes a few seconds, and then going back to view the display is not so easy. If I take off for a line of sight flight, I dont take my eyes off the drone. If I am going to take some photos, I stay within line of site, but am committed to the display.
