Let's discuss human flying drones! Flying Mavic or other drones is a lot of fun, but I hope someday to go up with a drone capable of lifting a human! Even it's "just" a stunt, like jumping from a drone with a parachute:

Do you know of any DIY project for a human flying drone? What do you think is a timeframe for ready-to-assemble kits (similar to ultralight aircraft, for example) appearing on the market? 5 years? 10 years?

Just thinking of the possibilities makes my juices flowing!

There are literally dozens of them man-carrying multicopters out there since it's a piece of cake to do, but they all suffer from the same issue that the flight time of a couple of minutes is useless beyond getting some footage to edit into yet again another "look at me!" video with some hopes of it going viral... they're also big/bulky/unprotected etc

Now this however is perfection in personal flying machine...
Finally, someone has designed a real flying hoverboard — and it flies at 80mph

What could be more fun than sitting in the middle of a dozen unprotected 2 foot long blades spinning at several thousand RPM?
