Hyperlapse waypoints

Hi all,
Does the MA2 navigate to hyperlapse waypoints using virtual sticks or internal gps guidance?

My money is on virtual sticks as I’ve read that in the UK you need to be in control of the drone at all times but I may be wrong, trying to get a better understanding before trying my first day/night shots

I do not own a MA2 but my Mavic 2 Pro waypoints plots out a complete circuit of waypoints and stores them in a file to be opened and activated when on site. The way points can be pre-set along with the point of interest on our iPhone or tablet or iPad. I do this the day before I go out to shoot. It is all done with GPS. Watch some You Tubes for complete instructions.
