I posted a thread awhile ago and it says that I am serious doing the monthly inspection and how I believe in it 100% Well it pays off again in doing so. Look, can you see what I discovered?
I performed a random inspection on the M2Z and to my amazement. (Does anyone know where to buy spare screws for this particular drone?)

When you were doing your inspections, did you ever break out your trusty wrench and tighten each screw accept of course for the two that are soldered in for tamper reasons. I have gotten a half turn or more on several. I usually fly 4 batteries in each outing.....just short of an hour and a half and its gets a thorough inspection when I am done adding that I check the screws a couple times a month.

Good catch. That let me thinking in do the same.

Your pretty right on. I once took it for granted that the props are always are in good shape and the screws are going to be factory tight. Well, that’s not the case for any of my frequent flyers. There’s always something to maintain. Once during my thorough inspection I found a crack on one of my props. Right at the pivot point. You could not see it if you were not looking for them. So since then I’m an inspector For all my drones. In a nutshell, since my inspection routine I uncovered 3 areas that could of been disastrous.

Look here, I robbed Peter to help Paul. Ok, now the story.
I looked on every drone & Quad I have in possession in Hope's to have a matching screw for the rear arm. Yes indeed I found one from the Mavic Air20201119_202421.jpg20201119_202811.jpg

.....I am sure you have checked all your screws by now. I have found on my zoom that the leg/antenna screws I am more often getting a slight turn on than the rest.

Now your Mavic Air is missing a screw ?
Correct, the Mavic Air is missing a screw. First of all I'm having a little trouble locating the screw i need. I looked through my collection of DJI drones and found a screw that matches and it happened to be the MA1. So I had to make a decision. I know I fly the Zoom practically everyday with the Mini 2 in between flights. Back to the MA1, I rarely fly it now so I can take my time locating screws.

Getting back to the premise of this post.
Commit to inspections. Daily, weekly, or everytime you fly, give your drone a complete 360 inspection. (look for cracks, missing screws etc.)
It takes 3.2 seconds to give a single drone a complete 360 visual inspection. That's how I noticed the missing screw. A simple pick up and spin the Mavic 360 degrees and (I honestly believe that I stopped a disastrous event.)
