I'm going to call this one... "Ponce Inlet NIGHThouse"

Awww darn, I thought it was all your own work, :-( Still spectacular though
I WISH I could take night shots like that!

I found aerial photography more enjoyable than long exposure, but will always have a place in my heart for those kinds of photos. still taking them when the opportunity presents itself

and thank you though

I came across a great youtube video sometime ago by some guy using a weird lens mask for manaul focusing and he stacked loads of deliberately under exposed shots as he did not use a motorised mount. To my eye he got some great results, unfortunately I can't find the bookmark.

Using Photoshop I swapped the back round on one of my photos.

What do you guys think?

Of course my immediate thought was, there is absolutely no way to shoot the Milky Way anywhere in Florida. There is WAAAY too much ambient light. To get that sort of full arc of the Milky Way you really need super dark skies for many hours. So basically, you took the Milky Way stock image and then selected the Ponce lighthouse image in Photoshop, then moved it onto the Milky Way image and did the composition. I might have given the lighthouse a bit more darkening. To shoot actual Milky Way images like this requires a full course from an expert. I have taken several astro photography workshops in areas of the US where there are dark skies, but never was able to create the full arc of the Milky Way. It is a nice job however!!

Yes dark skies are the best, and we have some very dark skies in certain areas, but I can get some great shots in Florida.
I took the photo at left that's my Icon of M31 from my observatory and light polluted skies.
Getting the arc of the Milky Way would take some dark skies and wide angle lens.
I would like to see that lighthouse in daylight from a little higher up.
