Image Artifacts

What causes image artifacts like in my image below? I am using recommended sandisk extreme memory card for Mavic Air 2 and current firmware and app on smart controller as of yesterday.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Could be the memory card, memory card reader. Have you tried to take a photo to the internal memory instead of the card and see if you still have the same results?

Hello, the SanDisk 256GB Extreme microSD on the Mavic Air 2 in normal flight mode. Thank you.

The artifact only happened on the one photo. Maybe a one-off glitch. My take away is to take more than one photo. Even if you think you got it.

Your solution/ work around is what I do... always 2 or more stills of any subject.

Someone mentioned a new card reader. I have had similar bars on other cards and tried a new reader and they were gone.

Could be the connection between the camera and it’s control circuitry. Loose/broken cable connection.

Another 'hint' is to always format new cards within the aircraft [or smart controller] where it will reside.
