+1! Small tumble from clipping a bush and now it says 'imu error'. When I calibrate the status bar goes almost to the end on the 1st calibration (flat on the ground) and goes no further.
Sorry to hijack the thread but I guess this is the same problem as the Roaddogg
When first turning on the mavic/controller and pressing 'go fly' in dji go it comes up with a imu error. It won't allow take off and when I attempt calibration it does as above. I've done a calibration before and no problems through all steps. I guess I'm going to have to send it off shame as it wasn't a huge bump and nothing else is damaged. I'd have thought the gimbal would be the first to go
Apologies I haven't been able to log on to mavic pilots for some reason.
No I don't unfortunately. It was a risk not to but my house insurance does cover it. Just deciding whether it's worth going through insurance since the repair bill can't be that high? Literally if I handed you my mavic you'd think it was brand new bar a little scratch on the under body heat shield I got ages ago from landing on a stone path. Seems strange that some internal sensor has gone yet everything else, including the very weak gimble, has come off with not a scratch.
Jeez that all adds up! Moral of this story is don't crash!
However! I have excellent news! I spoke to dji on chat yesturday morning and they were useless. About an hour of waiting for the chat cue only to be told to send it in. I have since spoken to a specialist and he told me to get dji assistant and hard reset/rollback the firmware. Calibrated the imu after and hey presto!! She flies again! Man I am so relieved and will be staying well away from foliage of any kind!!!
Hope this helps anyone else in the same position
