I recently had my older Mavic 2 Pro cameraconverted to a full spectrum infrared by Kolari Vision. This is an edit of my first collection of video clips from a recent visit to New Orleans. My attempt to learn all about infrared… filters, color profiles, channel swap and how to make it all work in flight and post-production DaVinci Resolve is a work in progress. Apparently, hardly anyone does artistic infrared video much less aerials, so I have a lot of study and testing ahead. The Mavic 2 Pro and DJI GO4 make for some clumsy flight characteristics and my yaw and gimbal settings were a bit off. I made the best of what I’ve learned (and not). For some reason, it won't embed here.

Very different. Very effective. I loved it. Well done.
Thank so much for watching.

I'll likely refine this edit with a more desired color swapping and grading once I figure out how to manage .dcp and .cube profiles in DaVinci Resolve or a custom workflow. I decided to include some of the in-camera pink clips so folks can see what it looks like without the monochrome grading. I really prefer the 590nm or 665nm white foliage/blue sky look. I also need to smooth out some of the issues that resulted from less than optimum gimbal and yaw settings. The M2P and Go4 software are a bit clumsy compared to the M3C and DJI Fly.

I'd encourage other pilots to convert one of their drones to IR. You can still shoot a normal look with their Hot Mirror filter. KolariVision is currently doing full-spectrum conversions for the M2P and M3 models as well as the ZenMuse camera. One caveat is the filters for the M3 drones are not yet available, but you can request a custom-made filter. I'll check with them on an ETA for the M3 filters as I'll probably get my M3C converted as well.
