Insurance for US operator to cover EU

Looks like every recreational operator in EU requires a 1 mil euro liability coverage. Anyone from the USA got such coverage in this country? Looks like the US insurances generally only cover operations in the US and the ones in the EU or Canada or UK dont cover US operators. I would think on this forum there should be plenty of info on this important aspect, but it seems not? Thanks for any pointers, suggestions.

Most self insure and avoid flying stupidly, which most insurance won't cover anyway.
