I have searched and seen similar questions but nothing resolved this question for me.
I am based in the US and traveling to Germany for two weeks. Bringing my DJI Mini 2, which is under 250g.
I've already registered with an EASA National Aviation Authority (LBA in Germany) and passed my EU certificate of competence (A1/A3) and have a remote pilot ID.
The sole regulation I need to complete is obtaining liability insurance for flying in Germany. I cannot find any provider selling liability policies for US based pilots flying non-commercial in Germany. Coverdrone, gestate, Helden.de, Versichertedrohne.de are not selling polices to US based pilots. My local insurance provider skywatch and my homeowners State Farm does not offer drone liability protection in Germany.
Note that all I want is liability insurance as required by German regulations. Has anyone been successful in obtaining such insurance, and if so, where?
Thanks for any info!
