Internet connection on RC controller to the internet

My Mavic 3 has the RC controller.
Up to know with my Air 2 s I would use my iPhone and would be able to see locations as well as get authorizations to fly etc
With the RC controller I don't have any communications to get authorizations and so the DJI App will say cant fly and so cannot get authorizations...Can anybody give me some input how to correct this

Much like using the goggles you have to be on wifi or share a hot point from a phone. When you pull down on the screen from the top (twice, I think) you get the option to connect to a wifi. That will do it.

@akdrone is correct, just set your phone to personal hotspot, Then connect RC to your phones hotspot.
