iPad Mini (1th gen.) with Litchi for MP, works?

Need some advice pls,

Got my hands on a iPad Mini 1gen. running iOS9.
(Can’t be updated to iOS10)
DJI Go (iOS9) doesn’t do MavicPro, DJI Go 4 is a no-go with iOS9...

I read Litchi runs on iOS9, is it really?
Someone tried this?
Is it useable, in terms of operation(speed) on an older iOS device?
