ipad mini 5 wifi only

do i need to do anything with it only being wifi ?.will anything not work that works on my andriod phone

Real time mapping won't work unless you have it connected to a phone hotspot etc.
Also an Ipad Mini without LTE doesn't have it's own GPS, so you won't be able to reset the home point to the Ipad Mini's location as it won't know where it is. e.g. if your moving around and want to set a different home point to the take-off point.

The homepoint set and recorded by the MA2 upon takeoff will still be set and working

However, the homepoint can still be reset to the current aircraft location at any time, which is a decent workaround. Also, homepoint resetting even on cellular iPads is currently not working.
