The view through my iPad is very dark. I can barely make out what the camera is recording. The iPad brightness is at max. Any suggestions on what to do to improve the viewing through the iPad?

I don't have an iPad but would want to know what other's say coz I'm thinking of getting 1.

I love my iPad Mini but the screen is almost unusable on a sunny day.

It is for this very reason I check the DJI site every day for stock of the 7" crystal sky :)

If it's a bright sunny day I always plan my flying near some type of shaded area (side of house, tree, shed, etc.) In the direct sunlight I don't know of anything that would help except a hood.

New iPad Pro has a lot less glare than older revs and is very bright as well. I still stay in the shade if possible but it’s a pretty good combination to run in sunny conditions.

I use a matte screen shield (less reflective) and a full hood with my ipad mini
I too have a matte screen shield for my iPad mini, works great. Also have a full hood which I use in bright sun, but since I do most of my flying in the evening, I usually don't need the hood.
