Make sure the cable is plugged into the actual USB port on the controller (right hand side on the top) and not the other "port" that is not an actual port and is only there to hold the phone end of the cable while not in use.

... and welcome to the forums!

Connection issue with iPhone 16 pro max and DJI RC for mini 2.
I cannot connect iPhone to RC.
Any help please.
How did you attempt to connect it?

What happened instead?

Anything else important we should know?

I have a mini 2 and have yet to make this iphone change. I know the 16 has a typer c usb connector. I assume you have changed that cable coming from the controller?

This is a subject near to my heart. I have a mini 2 presently in DJI's hands for support because I was not able to get my 14 pro max to connect properly and not able to see the map which was greyed out. Tried everything. Sent it to DJI and they said everything was normal. I was not happy with that report and called them to recheck everything. So they are sending it back to the engineers.

In the meantime, I am now considering purchasing iPhone 16 Pro Max but if there are connection problems I would love to be keep in the loop of this conversation.

It’s so frustrating as I’ve been quite ill for a long time and now feel well enough to fly and can’t pair tv and iPhone. So frustrating. I actually checked to see if the 16 pro max was ok with mini 2 before I bought the phone. Bummer. Will keep this updated.

I have the RC Pro on Mavic 3 and had connection problems for a long time. I contacted support and they asked me to try an Android phone. I told them that I only owned an iPhone and people in my office are also on iPhone. A friend suggested I delete all previous connections on the controller and try adding my iPhone 14 again and this did work, so maybe there is something here you can try, resetting the connections in your controller. I am currently connected using Bluetooth and the hotspot on the iphone.

That’s really kind of you. I’ve considered deleted previous connections but held off until I’d tried other option. I guess it’s that time now. I’ll certainly try it and feed back the results. Thanks again.

I am not able to connect to two drones with my iPhone 16 Pro max

Hi - just to share some info, I recently spoke to DJI as I was having problems connecting my new iphone 16 to my mavic mini. I was told that the new iphone with the type C connectors do not work with my controller, even though I managed to buy a type c to mini USB cable ..... Really annoying that they can't sort this out, great phone but simply can't use it with my mavic mini ..... Hope this helps, or informs at least ...

That was the EXACT reason I did not buy the new iPhone 16

I am using an iPhone 16 Pro (not Max) and it works fine with the controller via the usb-c to usb-c cable. I’ve never had any issues connecting.
