I recently changed from my IPhone to an IPad to fly my Mini 2 and what a big difference.
I noticed the screen said to log in, whereas I could only climb in altitude to 95 feet.
I checked my settings and sure enough I had altitude set at 385 feet limit.
I landed, logged in and all was fine in all aspects on the next flight.

Why was I prompted to login ?
Just because I installed an IPad instead of my phone?

Just asking.

I'm no expert, but I believe your situation is similar to mine. Previously I used an older Samsung phone and then switched to a newer Oneplus phone. I had to login again to the application on the newer Oneplus.

I believe you need to be logged in to the application on the current device that you are using otherwise it operates in a "trial" mode with significant restrictions on the maximum height and maximum distance. Once you login the trial mode restrictions are removed.

its the same as when ever you decide to remove ,and reload the APP on a given device ,
it will ask you to login ,but once that has been done ,it stays logged in ,on that device

I'm experimenting with various legacy iPads & iPhones. I've had to log in on each new device.

On another subject, what version of iOS is running on the iPad Mini 2?
