I read this article about the best surveillance drones. I sent a comment that it was irresponsible to label them surveillance drones. People are paranoid enough about drones and cameras.

I don't have a problem with it, other than it's a poorly written and amateurish attempt at an article by an "author" with the unlikely name of Vito Dronelli. (Vito Dronelli...seriously?)

If I was in the surveillance business and knew nothing about drones, a well-written article on the topic might be useful.

I read the article again, and substituted the word "binoculars" for "drone." Nothing to see here.

At least Dronelli closes with, "these drones are not meant specifically for surveillance."

While the quality of the article is laughable, I don't disagree with the premise. Few people are going to see this article, anyway. Overwhelmingly, the bad name associated with drones isn't due to the idiots who write articles about them as much as the idiots who fly them.

It is another of the many websites "paid" by Amazon with invented "experts" (the name already gives you many clues ..) saying any nonsense so that you end up buying in ... Amazon ...
Nothing serious...
It is always good to know the origin of what they intend to sell as "information" ...

It's a dumb, poorly written article on a site posting affiliate links to make money. It is a stretch to call it an "article" - it's all SEO bait. That being said, the whole point of the article was about using consumer drones for surveillance use. It's dumb, but it wasn't just lazy usage of the term - that was the entire point. They weren't making a point about drones in general. I wouldn't be too worried about junk like this.

Kinda reminds me of big name news companies that have to make up stories to get reader/viewership's. No names, but wasn't there a big name news company that reported some high school kids harassing a native American in Washington, DC. Turns out the whole story was absolute false! It was all made up by un-informed reporters!

Surveillance drones. Not to say it will not happen, but to openly publish a story with that tag line says the writer is not informed as to the hobby. Hopefully, the writer will become educated.
