Another example is trying to launch a kite. Several weeks ago I couldn't get my kite off the ground for more than a minute because I couldn't get it high enough fast enough to catch the constant winds. Someone else had theirs up for quite some time. They were probably 100' up. When they started bringing it down, that's when it started having issues.

What we've been discussing: upper winds even at 100-200ft can be higher and more constant than on ground or even 50ft.
