is it possible to find a third-party thermal attachment?

What you need is a dedicated thermal camera, not an attachment.
There's nothing like that.

You can technically mount a thermal camera and send the video feed to a dedicated screen with analog or digital transmission, but it wouldn't be stabilized and would be in a fixed position.

I want to pick a thermal drone in the future, but will probably wait till M3T gets a substitute. The M2 Enterprise advanced is easy to find second hand, but I'm not a huge fan of the body design of the M2 and it's popping battery, so I'll wait till people start to sell their M3 thermals.

You can also find the M2 dual, but its thermal cam is atrocious.
