Is the Mavic shape aerodynamically more efficient?

Looking at this video the model used is apparently a Phantom, by seeing the red shadows (which looks to be the area where most pressure is applied) it seems that the fat arms let a lot of energy be wasted.
The Mavic has thinner arms and apparently allow less waste of energy and turbulence.
I think then that the Mavic with its skinnier design is not only better looking but also more efficient.

Exactly, that was the article I was referring to and I was imagining what could happen with the Mavic, IMHO is more aerodynamic.

Looking at the Mavics profile I suspect that when the props are spinning the whole drone must have a profile like a flying wing or lifting body which is great for conserving battery life. The arms being thinner is certainly an added bonus.
