Is the new pro controller as awesome as it looks?

I can see there being problems with excessive use of lifting the display and the joysticks in the long run. Hopefully thats not the case. but all in all the rc unit does look pretty decent.

It is a really cool Controller!
Problems that I can see are the battery (ies). If when they wear out or get weak, they can been easily changed.
I had an Autel Controller that you couldn't change the battery and it was a special battery I had to order for England.
Then the pain in the *** getting it out of the controller!

Other than that, I would consider buying it!

I'd like to see more specs on it, including battery replacement!

the biggest question I have is the antenna. it doesn't appear that they can be adjusted so it would require you hold the body with the sticks in a particular position in order to have them optimally lined up for best transmission.

I'm not seeing a lot of posts praising it.
I have had my Mavic 4 for four days and am very pleased with it. The video and photo quality is outstanding and is better than my Air 3S. Flying the drone with the RC 2 Pro is smooth once you set up the controls and the screen is awesome no more looking for shade to view the screen. I do recommend the 240W charger it is well worth the cost. I was surprised that even shooting in normal mode the video quality is good, I shoot in D-Log M for the best quality. Its a lot of money for the drone and accessories but once you start flying this high tech beast you will soon forget about the cost. I live in Canada so no problem buying one when in stock. It would be nice if Americans could purchase the Mavic 4 Pro, hopefully that will be sorted out soon.

I noticed that also. If you look closely, I think there may be more antennas than just the ones that rotate. IMG_8602.jpeg

Im seriously interested in this controller now that it’s compatible with the 3s. Pricey, but still interested when they become available in the US.

It's a really nice controller. I bought it for my 3s as well but got a bit disappointed since I misunderstood a feature that is only available to the mavic 4 pro...
I'm a lot in the mountains and during hiking i fly as well so I need to constantly update my controller position because sometimes it is really hard to find my way back to my current location. One of the last video i did from the Trift Suspension Bridge i had exactly the problem where the drone flew back to the "home" point where i was 20 minutes ago hiking back to the car so I had to interrupt several times the automatic rth.

I thought the dynamic home point update is a feature of the DJI RC Pro 2 but no its a feature pf the mavic 4 pro...

an 8" screen would had been better and the screen can easily get scratched. 7" is the minimum and why they went with it. That's if you want to get shots like this as nobody can touch my drone flying skills around boats. But then again I'm only saying this because I haven't seen anyone yet but I'm sure there is.
