Is the Video Transmission Cable Cable on a Mavic Pro used during DJI Assist Direct Computer Connection?

My Mavic Pro video works when the drone is plugged in to the computer and using DJI Assist 2. However, video does not work when using the GoFly app. I was wondering if it could be the Video Transmission cable--but if that cable is also used during a direct Assistant 2 connection, I could rule that out.

Controller to phone cable? (Left shoulder USB-AB plug in controller) Not required when using Assistant 2.

Two options for video out - left shoulder USB-AB to phone/tablet, or : USB-A (bottom of controller) to phone/tablet.

Try a different OTG cable. Link below gives you the correct wording for the Amazon search string in your own region.

Mavic Pro only uses Go4 app. Will not work with GoFly.
Sorry Greg, I am talking about the Go4 app. I don't know why I typed Gofly.

Thanks Felix, I am actually talking about this cable below. The drone has video when using DJI Assist 2 and plugged directly into my computer and going to the video Calibrate mode. But no video is being broadcast to my Iphone when actually flying the drone. Otherwise the drone flys fine, the Gimble works fine also, just no video. I swapped out both the cables you mention on the controller to the IPhone and that did not resolve the issue. So my next troubleshooting thought was maybe it could be this Transmission control cable (ribbon cable). But then I thought, if the drone still uses this transmission control cable when it is plugged in with Assist 2, then the cable is not the issue. But if it doesn't use the transmission cable when plugged into Assist 2, then the cable could be the issue. Looking at Youtube videos, it looks like replacing this ribbon cable is a very tedious process that will take hours as you have to basically take everything apart to get to it. Which I do not want to do if the cable is actually used during Assist 2 direct computer connections--since that would mean the cable is good. The drone was in a very low speed crash, but dropped straight down about 4 feet on a hard surface on it's left front arm, so I know the cause--but like I said, it still flys just fine only no video.

Apologies. I thought you were referring to the OTG cable. My mistake.

That is an odd one... You mention a drop to the floor - have you tried checking the connection point where the transmission cable marries up with the main board?

There are a lot of (historic) posts on this and the DJI forum that have ended up tracing video out faults on a number of different models to a partially dislodged micro connector that got knocked loose as a result of a relatively minor impact... tedious or not: it might be worth a bit of a poke & prod.

Hello Felix, Thanks for the good suggestions. I believe my next step is to take everything apart and check for that and/or replace the LVDS cable. That is why I was wondering if a DJI Assistant 2 connection bypassed this cable or not, since the video works when the drone is connected using DJI Assistant 2. If it still uses this cable when connected via DJI Assistant 2, then the cable/connector would seem to be OK and the problem may be somewhere else.

Does the drone fly? just the drone coupled with the controller? (Ignore the screen component)

The control signal carries the camera video signal within it, so if it flies reliably, there's nothing wrong with the TX/RX RF transmission.

When you link the drone and controller with the GO4 app running on a screen device, what's displayed? Blank screen? App frame with telemetry data but no live video? Does the GO4 app launch automatically when the drone and controller establish an RF link?
