2. The "drone" story was never verified, and even if reported correctly, the facts support an overreacting instructor pilot, never making contact with any object, drone or otherwise.

Having said that you don't have to make physical contact to cause an accident

No, and I get that, It's just that too many of these things are now being blamed on a "drone" without any evidence.

If you think about it, without evidence, that excuse could be used to cover a world of screwups by manned pilots.
