Just curious, when using CsvView or Phantomhelp's log viewer the total distance flown ......

during a flight is shown or can be obtained. I am wondering if a similar total height climbed is also available?
I have not seen it as yet but..............

If using my online log viewer, you can find the max height in the linked CSV. Click the "Download CSV" link to access that CSV.



If using Flight Reader, that data is easily accessible in the main Flight Reader window. You can also generate an aircraft report showing the max height for all flights processed.

Sorry Msinger by "Phantomhelp's log viewer" I meant your "online log viewer". A great piece of kit!

I was aware that the maximum height reached is available, in fact I have just summed those for my logs, just over 44km of maximum heights and most likely far less than the total climb. But I am wondering if a summation of all the individual little climbs within one flight is available in the output of CsvView or your "online log viewer"?
It's like when I was a kid, there was a one day mountain walk, the Mourne Wall Walk, the highest point was the top of Slieve Donard, 2790ft, but the total climb during the walk was, from memory, 10,000ft+.

With regards to the Flight reader I have been meaning to ask you, can it handle all the current FLY app txt's, primarily from the Mini 2 but also including the FPV so up to FLY app version 1.5.4 I think?
I don't routinely update so am 'behind' in terms of App version and will remain so.

My log viewers definitely don't show that value. It wouldn't be impossible to add -- just something I've never heard of anyone wanting.

The current version of Flight Reader is able to process all DJI TXT flight logs. Versions prior to 1.2.0 are not able to process encrypted logs.

Thanks, I have just written some code to do the summation whilst the relevant program is scanning my csv's. About 5 minutes to write the code and then a blooming hour to work out why it wasn't working.......because I put the print statement in the wrong place, lol.
80.6km of climb.
I will need to look through some csv's to see if the result is sensible.

It is frustrating and then comical when you spot the mistake, I was quite pleased it ONLY took an hour lol, I didn't even swear.
