I am so excited.

It rains 100 days of the year where I am... and I'm thrilled at the prospect of being able to go fly even when rains threaten. I don't plan on launching in the middle of storms or when in the jaws of a squall--waterproof does not mean windproof. But I find that my best photos are on very cloudy days simply because the sky is more interesting and the quality and quantity of light during such days results in much better images.

I've flown countless times on cloudy days, and have stayed in the air for as long as my courage will let me. But most of the best photos of such sessions will be the last few shots on the card in the moments before I realize it has begun to rain and I have to book it home on S-mode. :)

Most thrilling of all is the prospect of observing my herds when they are out and about. On hot sunny days, the cattle and the buffalo seek shelter under the trees during the warmest parts of the day, and it's not surprising to fly for a full 15 minutes and spot ZERO cattle. :) My best bet for catching my herds in the open are the house shortly after dawn and before dusk. And of course, on rainy cloudy days.

So yeah. I can't wait.

And for those who have used the wetsuits... any tips?

Cheers!

Having shots thousand of Pictures in the Rain. let me give you some tips there.

Make sure you keep the Focus of the camera on the sky as this will less the noise in the sky .
This will make your Storm and night shots look so much better. 95 % of those that fly do not pay attention where the camera focus is.

Watch this video for when your really up in the Rain, it will help not panic and get really clean shots with or without the rain.

The other thing is you can capture a picture that is very clean without rain and still show that its Raining by flying over water where you can see the Drop of Rain if its pouring nicely in the Water.

A picture of the Sky with lighting is not as exciting as a Picture of the Sky with a Building or a house in it , that ads so much to the Storm Pictures , water is okay but not as good as something that gives Perspective to your shots.

With this in mind , start framing your shots where you hope the lightning goes to rather than moving to the lightning , its a pro tip but make a fantatic pictures when you do get it , .

The hardest part of flying in the Rain with the Wet Suit is gaining Confidence to fly in the Rain.

This is a another great video showing how this one client submerged the Drone a few times under water as he was testing out the Mavic Pro Wet Suit and Rescue Jacket Together.

I ran this picture thru Adobe lightroom an just use the Luminance on the low Resoulution picture but it made a big differnece.

Look forward to seeing your Adventures , I took your low res picture posted and just gave it a more liquid look and took out the noise, Remember keep the focus of the camera 100 % on the sky , the rest will take care of itself on the ground.

Also the Mavic Pro has Portrait mode which reall was before its time, and super nice feature to use .
