Keeping old drone care refresh

Howdy,
I have a question about the dji care refresh express, I used the option for mavic 3 classic and they sent me a brand new drone and battery. I haven't sent them my old drone yet and they returned my deposit, and now the question is whether I can leave the old drone or do I have to send it since they can no longer take the deposit, can they somehow lock both drones, did anyone have a similar experience?

To my mind it is very simple, morally and possibly legally, you should return the old drone.
Is that not part of the care refresh 'contract'?

For all intents and purposes the old one is a brick. And as York stated, morally and legally, send it in. It no longer belongs to you.

I'm surprised that DJI sent your replacement before getting the damaged drone. Nonetheless, I would contact DJI and explain what happened and seek instructions. Document all correspondence.

If there was a deposit involved, I think it's safe to assume the item was not intended to be kept even if the deposit was released.

I am surprised that you are even considering not sending the item back. DJi have honoured their part of the deal now honour your part
