Kindle Fire 7 compatible?

Hi,
does anyone know if the Kindle Fire 7 can be used with the DJI App to fly the Air? I'm looking for a low cost tablet to increase the view area vs my android phone.
Not even sure what OS the Fire runs.

I have a Kindle fire HDX 8.9 and wanted to use it for my MA. However, after fooling around with all the suggestions on how to side load or other ways to get it to work I gave up and bought an iPad mini.

Watch for the sales this time of year. I bought an ipad mini 4 last year at this time from Best Buy. it was a 128 gb with all the bells and whistles for $274.00. I also bought a refurbished 9.7" ipad for $109.00. Both work awesome.
