Today, I just got an email from Kittyhawk App informing that they have changed the App’s name to Aloft. Did you guys get this email as well ?

That’s a terrible name. Not often do I come across names of companies that stick out out as being particularly terrible but this is one of them. KittyHawk was a great name too. I guess they wanted to get rid of the American name sake. Sad.

I thought that I heard that KittyHawk, now called Aloft, is monetizing their service, and will no longer be free. Is this true, or did I dream it?

I believe it was Airmap trying to monetize airspace...
