Is there a way to convert (and then post) the flight log from the drone to a KMZ file and post (show up) on google earth?

Ultimately, what I want to do is show a split screen - 1 screen showing the video of the flight and, 2 show the flight path (and waypoints) on a topomap and/or google earth. I'd really like to show the lat/lon of the waypoints too.

Is there a software product out there that will do this for me? How do I set waypoints (if that's the right word) while flying?

Thanks,
Brad

You can generate the kml directly from the latitude, longitude and altitude fields in the log, or you can upload it to PhantomHelp or AirData, both of which allow you to download a 3-D kml or kmz. The AirData kml is a bit cleaner because it is one contiguous track while the PhantomHelp kmz track is split up into segments.
