Lake Chautauqua / Jamestown Area

Hey New Yorker's, I'll be visiting Chautauqua Lake in a couple of weeks and was wondering if there are any good areas to fly around the lake or Jamestown. Also, are there any special regulations within New York state that I need to be aware of? Thanks!

Lake Chautauqua is beautiful as you know. If you want to visit a nice little town, check out Ellicottville, NY.
Lake Chautauqua is mostly flat. As you move east toward Ellicottvile, you get into small mountains and trees.

There is as rest area on I86 east bound which is about 3/4 off the expressway. If you're looking for great footage of the lake that is a great place to stop and launch from. I also agree with Electromen, if you're looking for some great mountain shots I would go to Ellicottville.
