Let’s say for example I’m staying at the beach house. Area is marked as “class B area A airspace”
Requires FAA authorization.
Would it bother you guys that I am flying there at the height of 10 feet making vacation beach videos.

Yeah because at 10 ft you could just use an osmo

'cause everyone has an osmo:rolleyes:

20', better?
Ok, you could also hold the drone
I have a friend who did a nice video going through a beach house and out doors over the sea. Later told me he walked it through the house. I’m just being a smart *** since I never thought about walking it or holding it, the osmo mobile at $120 is also way cool addition. I fly on the edge of two 5 mile overlapping airports. I never fly over 400ft and there are many mountains here. The only way any aircraft could get near my drone is if they were crashing. I use my common sense and don’t fly near any people. New rule maps though opened up my airspace. I would be more worried about annoying people at 10ft.

Good thing there are no one at the beach. Beach is basically a backyard.95235D66-775A-46E8-8500-5600E2EF27E6.jpeg

This kind of thing doesn't bother me, provided that the pilot in question is being sensible about it and there's no realistic chance of them causing an incident.

As a similar example, most people in urban areas of the UK probably can't legally take off in their backyard because of the CAA's built-up area and/or 50m proximity rules. On the otherhand, I don't think that anyone is going to kick up a fuss if you do a quick take-off and hover to check that your drone is in good working order before setting out on a mission, even that includes a few shots to test the camera. Think of it as an extension of "What happens in the privacy of your own home..."

Then again, flyaways where the drone climbs of its own volition are not unheard of so I wouldn't push your luck too far.

It's the attitude of the OP and anyone who agrees with him that is all wrong. Everybody should by now be aware that the FAA and a lot of other airspace regulators monitor this and other Drone related forums. All you're doing is giving them and the Professional Drone Operator lobby groups ammo to use when drafting regulations to be established in the near future.

This thread should be deleted before more stupid and irresponsible content (whether or not it's "tongue in cheek") is posted.

Guy who doesn’t like to be regulated so he tries to regulate others!
