A couple from this year:

Pickering Castle, the Defensive Motte and Bailey (mound) was first installed soon after 1066
Over several hundred years the site grew with curtain walls surrounding various other buildings



Whorlton Castle - the main structure remaining is actually only the Gatehouse which was repurposed as a rough farmhouse and barn.
The foundations to the left are remains of a cellar or possibly dungeon from the main castle. Stone would have been re-used locally.
Again the site was first fortified soon after 1066

Still green with video editing and drone flying but getting there. I learnt that you can't really edit away bad photography, only minimise it. There is seldom a re-do of the flight but the memories are still special. MA great little drone for compact travel.
