Loved litchi qith my phantom. Can you enable sports mode in litchi as i cannot find it in the menu's.

I just assumed Sports Mode is a DJIGo ism. I never actually fly FPV in Litchi, so have never checked its top speed. Maybe it is effectively there if you simply disable the advanced mode features like collision avoidance.

As far as I know Litchi is not aware of it and they have remapped the Flight mode Switch to be used to toggle the Drone out of whatever Litchi mode it is in and back to P-Mode FPV.

Ah, I didn't know that. I always just use the app for that. I just assumed that as Litchi just inherits all/most of your settings from Go that it'd just be a case of flicking the switch as normal. Must have a dabble, as I quite like Sport Mode and I also like Litchi FPV over Go.

Yes, Litchi inherits all settings from the GO app, including the Flight Modes option.
So it's just switching to sports mode by the remote's switch and the top speed will go almost twice.

Sort Of...

This from Litchi support to me in regard to an issue I was having.

"During a mission, if you wish to regain control, the preferred way is to flip the Sports Mode switch. In is instant and will always give you back control no matter what."

Furthermore if you try plan a route in Litchi it will not let you set a Max flight speed higher than 33.6mph regardless of the switch position.

On the other hand in FPV mode it may work as it does in DJIGo, so all good.
Main thing to remember in Litchi is that switch is your get out of jail free ticket if things go haywire. It has saver my RRRs a few times now.

Yup, just been out with Litchi to do another wp test in fairly windy conditions. At the missions furthest point (about 600m) it started struggling with the wind as I'd only set the mission speed to about 18kmh. As it was only doing about 2kmh against the wind I decided to abort and fly it back manually. Flipped the sport switch up and down to get back to p mode, then flicked to sport again and can confirm that Sport does indeed work like a charm. Got it back at well over 20kmh against a v strong headwind.[emoji106]

You can not fly a mission in sports mode using litchi.
I think litchi has still a few glitches with mavic pro and i could not control it after a mission so i flipped the switch to sports mode and back and all was ok...

That's what I'm saying....But you can abort and go into Sports mode if you need to get out of trouble.

Just made this short cllip to show how Litchi Sports mode in FPV mode works the same as in DJIGo

30mph vs 41mph
Full forward stick - Stop - Swap modes from P-GPS to Sport, repeat - thats it.

Haha, looks like you speeded it up! By the way, where are you - couldn't help noticing the leaves on the trees.

Down on the southern most tip of mainland Australia. Long summer days here atm.

Interesting how your Litchi route was hampered by the wind. I had mine flying a one mile out and back survey route at 300'agl in 45kph winds yesterday and it coped fine. My (Possibly misguided) strategy has been to set lower Litchi Mission speeds in strong winds though. I always set Max Flight Speed to the highest possible setting 54km/h. However I reduce Cruising Speed in windy conditions from 45km/h to ~20km/h. Litchi will be trying to achieve the programmed Groundspeed and this should give it more margin to do so. I can also push forward stick to accelerate to Max Flight Speed enroute should the need arise.

Hmmmm....On the mission I did today it slowed right down to 2kmh but the cruising speed was set at 18kmh. It was really gusty though, and I was travelling backwards focussing on a poi so perhaps that was the reason. More testing for me!

problem with litchi missions is that flight modes cannot be changed during missions otherwise you could send your mavic at sports mode to the start of you pre-programmed mission then goto standard flight mode and then at the end of the mission go back to sport mode to return wherever you are... that would be nice but impossible!
New litchi app version allows you to vary speeds from waypoint to waypoint which is good but would be better if there was no sports mode to give a better range of speeds.

Would save you a little bit of time I guess. But I much prefer to fly at regular speeds so I don't risk high amps + noisy compass leading to attitude mode. Last thing I want is for it to fall off a route into Atti mode when out of signal range.
You could FPV fly it in sport mode flat out to your first WPT then toggle back, switch to WPT and start the route. Do the reverse at the last WPT.
Coincidentally I just flew a 4km mission about an hour ago and went to manual and sport mode to do something different at the end.

Sure one could do that but many times where i send the drone i loose connection in the next 5 mins as i fly behind tall trees or tall buildings so do not have connection to the drone for 80% of the flight!
