As a retired Security Forces member (USAF Military Police), the Air Force, at least at a majority of installations, *currently* does not have the authority to "bring down" or remote connect into your consumer drone.

Does that mean they don't have the capability? Do you want to test that theory and get a federal charge of trespassing into restricted or a controlled area? More power to ya!

To my knowledge and experience so far, unless you use a modded program or drone, you will be unable to launch in a NFZ, especially one that contains a military installation or restricted area.

I would honestly not try to push your luck with flying over or near a military base. You'll just make it worse for the recreational community..

Doubt if you can get clearance to overfly military institutions.
Your drone may not be able to even leave the ground in an NFZ.
As stated above, leave it alone.
For nonmilitary NFZs try the AirMap app for clearance.

If it's a true NFZ and you're flying an un-hacked DJI unit it won't even arm the motors which is the best thing for a NFZ to begin with. Think about the fact that we're all lumped into one pot and if you fly "intentionally" in a NFZ you're putting all of us at risk for increased regulations.

Pick somewhere else to fly that would not jeopardize NAS.
