Thanks for the advice. I think I’ll buy a cheap drone for now and get proficient flying it and then upgrade. Starting out with a cheaper drone will make me appreciate a Quality one I’m sure anyways...

Yep, you are definitely in a NFZ (no fly zone). DJI's current firmware won't even allow you to power up your motors at home. That said, you are not alone. Many of us live near airports, but still have our favorite places outside of the NFZ where we go to fly.
