Trying to see wether or not folks who have purchased drones from Japan or South Korea have had their oackages intercepted by customs. If so how much were they meant to pay?

I want to buy from eBay from. South Korean seller, if you could share which seller you went with that would also be helpful. Thank you.

I’m looking to get another mini 4 fly more PLUS

these are the two threads you want to watch:

On August 13th I ordered a DJI Avata 2 Fly More Combo from eBay seller 102_Store00
<Security Measure | eBay> Claimed Aug. 21-28 arrival window...
On Aug. 14th it shipped from S. Korea via FedEx
On Aug. 15th, it passed thru Japan, to Memphis, TN, to Oakland, CA (obviously flew thru customs!)
On Monday, Aug. 18th, it was delivered to Concord., CA.

Original DJI packaging & content were fully intact.
Charged batteries, activated via DJI, and 2 test flights confirm everything WORKS!!! :)

Yes, I recommend this seller! Very interesting routing.

Catfish ...

I would make that purchase immediately because the Korean $800 de minimus exception to all tariffs expires on August 28th. That is the primary current loophole being exploited by the sellers, so you don't have to pay any tariffs, which also limits scrutiny of the package. Once 15% tariffs on all Korean goods of any value begins on August 29th, things are likely to be very different.

Anything ordered now has a very good chance of making it through U.S. Customs before August 29th, and even if flagged, the Customs fees are only on the excess value over $800 until then. After that, all tariffs are on the entire value, based upon the country of origin, which is technically China, rather than the country from which it is shipped. Hence, a 30% tariff, rather than a 15% tariff, if Customs really looks closely.

Good luck, and "May the Force be with you!" LOL!
