Where to buy recently released DJI drones from the US (updated daily)

@DJ Wes, I pulled the trigger on that same deal a few days ago, delivery scheduled for 1/3. Your successful experience is comforting 👍

Back again....now with all-time lowest pricing! And....likely to go even lower over the next few weeks. ;)

As in, "we'll let you back into Amazon but you have the rest of 2025 to sell everything you have left and then we are done here."

I think the drone is finished, I can't imagine trying to relaunch it under a different name brand. Just move on and give us a purple Mini 5 Pro clone and this time, please check the name first if you insist on calling it Skynet or something else.
Not good if their app logs you out every so often like Dji fly…

B&H inventory missing from the 1st post...
Mavic 4 Pro (1 batt) - B&H $2,699

Mavic 3 Pro Fly More Combo w/ RC Pro $2,489

Mavic 3 Pro Cine Premium Combo (1 TB SSD) w/ RC Pro $2,699

Adorama has DJI drones in-stock, some of which are listed as "closeout"...but the prices are not discounted.

Mini 5 Pro Combo PLUS on ebay for $937 (using Klarns) shipped from Garden Grove California.

...and they're gone. That was definitely a closeout sale, gotta sell everything I have tonight; probably believes DJI drone sales will be illegal tomorrow (or else don't want to deal with the unknown; don't blame them).

Amazon seems to be playing games again. Early December I placed an order for a low-priced NEO2, from Air Foto seller but shipped by Amazon; delivery date arriving Dec 28 - Jan 30 . Would be my 2nd NEO2, no big deal waiting. Easier to buy on eBay but I wanted to spend a few of my Amazon credits, get 5% back, and have the option to return it since holiday purchases get extended returns and easy returns process. No reason to think it would take past the end of Dec after holiday rush, after all it says shipped by Amazon (which means they have it, right?) and everyone else it getting their "NEO 2 shipped by Amazon" all month long. Here's the listing:

Fast forward to January 2026 and the new date I am giving is January 30. The order invoice says "Other" in something called "Supplied By" and there is no indication this order is even coming from Amazon. In the past, I have on occasion received shipments where Amazon just took themselves out of the picture and had the item shipped directly to me from the seller but I don't want a package directly from China with customs involved, etc. Which is why my delivery address is "Amazon locker." No way to get UPS or FedEx involved; no fees. I realize the drone will always come from China; just want it to come to Amazon first, then to me. Is that what the definition of "Shipped by Amazon" means?

So we'll see. I can't imagine Amazon isn't shipping NEO 2 drones to anyone until the end of the month, we all can't be waiting; I see a lot of messages and post about "my new NEO 2 from Amazon." They have my money, I'm at the bottom of the shipt list and I paid the least $$ so I guess I get it last. Surely everyone else who paid more isn't waiting forever; can't let those "profitable" orders go to waste. Amazon is hoping I get tired of waiting and cancel (and reorder at a higher price). Ultimately, they'll hit the legal limit and they'll cancel me anyway claiming supplier issues. That's what I am thinking and I know what I'm going to say if they do this. Ordinarily it would suck if I missed all kinds of other low prices and deals on the NEO 2 while waiting for this unicorn but fine, if I don't get this, I won't be buying a 2nd NEO 2....just concentrate on getting Avata 360 (not from Amazon).

I also ordered a Neo 2 on December 26 from AirFoto and shipped by Amazon Delivery was set for January 3, but on December 30 the shipping status showed “Package was damaged and will be returned”. Amazon cancelled my order, and refunded me and told me I’d have to buy it again for the full price of $999 instead of the discounted price I paid. Speaking to again and texting with them via chat did not yield me any results except for apologizing and saying there’s nothing else they can do.

I hope you get your drone!

Thanks for the update. The entire situation has created a shady business in the drone world and while a damaged package is nothing new to Amazon, the least they could have done is dispatch a replacement package since you paid them and not Air Foto. I've heard it many times, they cancel you and force you to rebuy at a higher price which is sus. You lose whatever discount or promo you might have used, too; those don't get refunded especially after they've expired.

I know I ordered a different combo but I have to wonder when will my order "arrive at an Amazon facility" just how long does it take? I'll report what happens. I guess you have to wait until you see the low price advertised in the "box" again and give it another shot.

What this means is exactly what it says. "Shipped by Amazon" means it will eventually come from an Amazon warehouse. When the shipping date is this far in the future, it means that Amazon does not currently have it in stock but they are expecting a shipment from their supplier. Once Amazon receives their shipment, they will ship it to you and that part will only take a couple days.

They don't have your money. Check your credit card. They should not charge your card until the item is shipped from Amazon. I ordered a Mini 5 Pro from the same "Air Foto". I wasn't charged until it was shipped from Amazon.

I hope so but like I said, there were instances in the past where an item "shipped by Amazon" came straight from the seller as if Amazon made the prudent change. I didn't pay much attention to it being a low-priority domestic item, an international drone subject to customs is a bit more important. I highly doubt Amazon "does not currently have it in stock" as I mentioned, plenty of people have ordered after me *and* already received a NEO 2 "shipped by Amazon." Perhaps they don't have a drone with my name on it. Do they have drones specifically from Air Foto, maybe but all DJI drones are the same and trying to segregate all combos and all sellers separately isn't likely particularly when we seen evidence to the contrary.

It's hyperbole. Using an Amazon store card, amazon gift cards, and/or amazon points to pay for an Amazon purchase amounts to "they have my money" capitive. I honestly don't care where the charges land, when they "go thru", or the transactional process, the statement was made regarding Amazon having my business and full control over how it works out without financial consequence. Not complaining because it was a personal choice meant to make a point. Businesses who have the option to issue a "store credit" are in a better overall position that having to refund. However, none of this is important or related to the games that Amazon plays.
