Where to buy recently released DJI drones from the US (updated daily)

DJI do NOT recommend using Mini 3/4 Pro batteries in a Mini 5 Pro. Current draws are higher with the Mini 5 Pro. There has been at least one report of a Mini 5 Pro falling out the sky when using a Mini 3 Pro battery.
They might fit physically but are not electrically compatible. A really poor design decision!
yeah....I read that somebody had crashed their Mini 5 with a Mini 3 pro Plus battery when the pilot ignored under-current warnings while in Sport Mode

Minor nit: They are electrically compatible, that's why the M5P will power up, take off, and fly. Unfortunately they do not have sufficient power to operate the drone under all conditions.

Perhaps there will be a firmware update in the future that will disable this. Would be wise on DJI's part.

Yes, you’re correct. I should have said that the mini 3/4 batteries are electrically compatible and will work BUT are liable to cause problems if put under load.
It would have been so simple to design in an extra groove in the battery case and a lug in the drone body to stop non compatible batteries being used. Cost cutting perhaps, or just another oversight to go with the excess weight and missing green lights during recording video.
